The Yoga Barn’s unique setting is unique offers space and tranquility in very uncertain time and over the years has built a reputation for friendliness and a keen focus on meeting the varying needs of clients. This year we have added several new classes and teachers to our schedule. There are also many retreats and workshops to deepen your practice in yoga and meditation , or even just to give you some time to wind down from the daily stresses of modern living. and has reopened for in-studio classes and its so nice to be back. Class sizes are small and in line with Government Regulations. Online classes suit you better? Don’t worry! All our classes will be hybrid – in person and online so you can join us in the way that suit

This a wonderful time to start getting outdoors and as the Yogabarn is situated in Glasgows most beautiful it is the perfect start to your yoga practice.

The sessions focus on the changing needs of your body, moving and breathing to promote physical and emotional wellbeing and to help prepare for birth.

Wednesday

Mindful Flow Yoga – online and in studio

Working with seasonal energy using mindful movement with a focus on the breath. In this class we also explore mantras, meditation and use the chakras to connect to sensations in the body increasing our present moment awareness to promote joy and harmony from the inside.

Vinyasa Flow – online and in studio

Yin Yoga In Studio

Yin yoga is a slow, still and quiet practice that nurtures a deep sense of awareness and connection of body and mind. In Yin yoga each pose is held for 3 minutes or longer and generally targets the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Yin yoga is a perfect complement to a dynamic practice and an antidote to urban life, or an extremely subtle and profound practice on its own.

Thursday

Ashtanga Yoga – Flow to Slow – online and in studio

A slightly different emphasis on the Ashtanga sequence we begin with the dynamic standing and balancing sequence and then take time to explore longer stretches in seated and twisting postures to work more deeply into fascia and tissue. This practice both energises and restores body and mind.

Mum & Baby Yoga –

11:45-12:45

A yoga class for new mums and babies with a focus on lower back care, shoulders and chest. And helping the pelvic area to gently recover. We will create a balanced light hearted class to help with the variety of emotions and energy levels felt in this life changing experience. We will also do some fun movement and massage with baby at the centre of it. Great chance to be with other mums and help each other in so many ways too,
